The Weekend

What all did you do this past weekend? Go to the game in Moultrie? Go to church? etc.

I didn't go to the game or church. I went with my cousin to town Friday. It was a little fun. I spent time with them. Then on Saturday I went back to their house and we played with my uncles puppy's, and some other stuff. That night we went to the fun place so my cousin could see her little boyfriend. Sunday we went in the woods and my cousin killed a baby snake. I was scared.

Sleep

I went to bed at 7 pm last night! I typically don't get in bed until after 11 pm. After a week and a half of revival at church, I was TIRED. I love going to bed early, but seldom do. How late do you typically stay up? Can you tell a difference in your school work when you go to bed early or stay up extremely late? Explain.

Most of the time i stay up until about 11 but lately i been going to bed around 9:30-10:30. I can't tell a difference in my school work.

Army Reps

How did yesterday's Army representatives influence your future choices? Are you now contemplating an army career after high school?

They made me want to go to college more. I'm also thinking about going to the army but i want to be like them where i don't have to go out and fight. I'm not sure though I mite just keep the career that I've had and be a teacher. I know for sure that I'm going to college.

Legal Drinking Age

I don't think it should be changed because more people will get dui's. There will be more wrecks. I also think there will be more deaths at early age. If they do change it the company's will make more money but it's not worth having more people to die or get injured.

Last week's College & Career Speaker

What was your overall impression of the speaker? Did you enjoy the presentation? Do you think the speaker's presentation will aid you in your post secondary (college, tech, trade school, military, etc.) and career choices? What didn't you like about the presentation? Should Ms. Gay continue having speakers come into our class?

I think she did very well. She made me want to go to college even more. I enjoyed it, because i learned more about college and the recommendations to go to college. I liked the presentation. It was kind of interesting. Ms. Gay should continue having speakers come into our class.

Meghan McCain Blog

I discovered John McCain's daughter's blog this morning. http://www.mccainblogette.com/ She is 23 years old and is blogging about her experience on the campaign trail. She is on the verge of possibly becoming the President's daughter. Already she is experiencing being followed around by secret service agents, but that will become a constant part of her life if her dad wins the election. Read some of her blog. I wouldn't like anyone to follow me around all of the time. I would want some time and space to my self. I would eventually get mad and probably try to run away or something. I mean I would like the protection but it would make me feel weird if I am being watched.

Homecoming 2008

Well....I went to the game Friday. It was okay I had a little fun. I also went to the parade. It was boring. I didn't go to the dance but i should have. I stayed at home and was bored out of my mind so i just went to sleep. Friday was the best day of my weekend. Saturday and Sunday was so boring.

In a way I agree but then i don't. I agree because everyone needs love in there life at some point and time. I disagree because no one likes to be hurt or heartbroken.

Abandoned Baby found at Beijing's Bird Nest toilets

It follows:A visitor to Beijing's National "Bird's Nest" Stadium was shocked to find a new-born baby abandoned in one of the venue's toilets, local media reported on Wednesday. The baby, later identified as a girl, was found by a woman around noon on Tuesday at the Bird's Nest, which is currently holding athletics events for the Paralympic Games, the Beijing Times said."The woman told venue staff that there was a newborn baby in the toilet, with blood still on its body," the paper said. Volunteers and staff searched for the mother for two hours to no avail, then sent the baby to a hospital. The baby was in good health and was feeding, the paper said, citing people with knowledge of the situation, but said the whereabouts of the mother remained unclear. I think that if she had a baby she should have stayed with it or at least gave it up for adoption. She mite have done it because she wasn't ready for a child. She could have had something wrong with her. To me I think that it was wrong for her to do that. I think she is crazy in the head.

Brittney Spears & the VMAs

Did you watch the MTV's Video Music Award Show on Sunday? What did you think about Brittney Spears performing? Who was your favorite performer? Do you watch it for the music or just to see what the artists are going to wear or say? If you didn't watch, why not?Actually, I didn't watch it, but have just noticed some mention of the award show on every news page on the web...and wonder if Brittney Spears really thinks she can have some kind of great comeback after the world just wondering if she's completely psycho -- shaving her head, drug overdose ER rants, improper care of her kids, etc. I honestly think she's a horrible role model and wonder what MTV is doing promoting her so.

I didn't watch it, because i was at my cousins house and i don't hardly watch TV until night when I go to sleep. I do not like Brittany Spears. She is not a good role model. I think she is crazy in the head.

Teen Pregnancy

As everyone has observed, teen pregnancy has been on the rise over the past 2 years. Why do you think this has happened? Is it related to peer pressure? Accidental? I think this has happened because more and more teens are not being protective. They just do not care anymore, and their parents aren't watching them closely. Some of it maybe from peer pressure, but more than likely it's just from them not being careful and not making smart decisions. I think most of them are accidental because i wouldn't think that this many people would wont to start life as a teen.
